Selling at public auction is one of a large number of ways of selling a property.

When choosing to sell your property by auction, from preparing the sale to its completion, you will embark on a process that is quick, simple and safe because it is supervised by your notary.

  • He/she will help you to meet your legal obligations.
  • He/she will advise you on valuing your property, choosing the fixed price and registering it at an auction sale.
  • He/she will draw up the specification sheet, advertise the sale and arrange viewing.

On the day of the sale you will know who has purchased your property. If no overbid is received within 10 days of the sale you will receive the purchase price within 45 days. The property will be transferred when the sale is final.

The sale price cannot easily be challenged by the taxation authorities because they recognize the transparency and reliability of notaries’ public auction sales.
